Osgoode Students Learn Role of Public Service in a Legal Career

Press Release: Toronto, September 12, 2013

Part of the practice of law includes involvement with one’s community, giving back to those in need and fostering philanthropic acts by the legal profession.

That is an access to justice and ethical responsibility philosophy adopted by Mary Wahbi and Karen Yolevski, Partners of Basman Smith LLP. Along with other Pro Bono activities, as estate planning lawyers both Mary Wahbi and Karen Yolevski are proud to be instrumentally involved in the Wills Clinic run by Pro Bono Students Canada.

They each are volunteer lawyers providing their time and expertise in this area of law. They run the initial training of law students for the Wills Clinic and also volunteer as supervising lawyers, teaching and helping law students to deliver much needed estate planning services to clients who otherwise could not afford such services.

Mary and Karen are proud to be involved in this project.
