Our highly respected and experienced Litigation Group represents individuals, groups, professionals and corporate business clients before a broad range of tribunals and at all levels of court in all manner of disputes, rights enforcement and regulatory issues.

Our litigators act for individuals, groups and businesses in a broad range of matters, including personal injury, professional negligence, contract and property disputes, wrongful dismissal, insolvency, construction, estate litigation, and many other areas of the law affecting private rights. We also act for clients in all types of administrative law matters including municipal and zoning disputes, appearing before the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) and many other tribunals such as the Human Rights Tribunal (HRT), the College of Physicians and Surgeons and other regulatory bodies and the provincial courts on statutory matters.

Our litigators also represent many commercial business clients in similar matters related to disputes between businesses and all forms of commercial litigation including banking, security, Personal Property Security Act (PPSA), Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA), priority disputes, commercial arbitrations, oppression, shareholder disputes, partnership disputes and any and all other matters that may be brought before the specialized Commercial Court. Our lawyers have appeared as counsel in many successful cases in these areas as well as provide appellant advocacy in all areas of law.

Our litigators are also at the forefront of rights protection for our clients and obtain various forms of injunctive relief, appearing frequently before the courts on these matters, including intellectual property protection. Our lawyers have significant expertise in the execution and enforcement of orders and judgments in Ontario and other jurisdictions, including the United States. We also continually consult and work with governments and concerned groups to affect legislative and policy changes to improve the implementation and enforcement of the law as it affects our clients and their concerns.
